Shaker Decals on 1970 T/A?

It is my understanding that the shaker on a 1970 T/A is blank of any reference to a R/A III or IV. Is this correct?

Thanks,

Jim

Guess that's what he gets for swearing.

I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of 70 ta's that I bought from the original owners and a handful of them had ram air on the scoop and they said they were on there when they bought it new. I suspect the dealer probably put them on. I can just guess that some dealers thought that they looked bare and it was no secret that trans am's were not an easy sell car compared to the gto. so they probably added them to make the trans am" stand out " a little bit more. again just my opinion no proof of it.

U would of thought, the RAIV, TAs, would of received them, to distinguish from a RA3, but they didn't.
The raiv here, has white raiv decals, look quite old, buy, added, at some time, during its life in California

RAIV stealth is cool. From the number I have seen in print and net with decals I always thought correct :)

I've resisted the temptation of slapping on some "Ram Air" stickers.

They were bare, but its so cool seeing that lettering on the sides of the shakers!

i have a blue car that I bought from the original owner and it has red "ram air" on the scoop. he said it came that way from the dealer and I believe him because when I first found out about the car I was chasing an all original ra4 blue car. really wasn't having any luck getting him to sell it and then the he passed away and then a few years went by and his son finally called and decided to sell it, but when I went to buy it, I noticed the YZ immediately and checked the vin on the block and found out it matched. I was totally bummed but bought it anyway. when I first talked to him he said he special ordered the car and it took forever to get and he called to cancel the order and the dealer said it would be there really soon. obviously the dealer took a ra3 that matched his order and put a ra4 top end on it. the dealer probably added the red decals to really add some fluff and to make it look different than the other ta's. he never knew the difference.
