How 'bout dem Packers
I'm not saying the Packers are crushing the Bears, I'm just saying I can see Cutler's tears from the nosebleed section
|
I was happy, Go green bay. Even my driver harvick car 4 won today good day for my sports.
|
The last team to give up 50+ points in two consecutive games was a team that doesn't exist anymore - the Rochester (NY) Jefferson's - almost 90 years ago.
The Jefferson's only existed for 4 seasons - and never won a game. The Bears are a train wreck. |
I actually was nodding off by the 3rd quarter as I watched it. I would wake up every 5 minutes or so when my son would laugh at another Packers score,or Bears screw up. The game was over in the 1st quarter.
|
Raiders are now a better team than bears...
|
It was fun watching people I know who are bears fans admit their team sucks and state that they maybe should become packers fans lol
|
Too bad they couldn't have left Rogers in long enough to break the TD pass record.
I can see were that would have bad implications later down the road, when the Bears have a mean pass rush, etc. |
I think the world has officially turned upside down, the Bears are losing big and the Detroit Lions are winning. (lol...)
|
On paper, the bears are a good team. Unfortunately, it happens to be toilet paper.
|
Cutler looked like he'd rather have been anywhere but there, even before the scoring started.

THAT is what's hard to believe.
 Maybe the Cubbies can pull it off sometime if the Browns can do this. :D |
News stations love this. Stories on ticket holders bailing to brokers. Expect the backlash next home game. Empty seats galore.
|
We really don't have many empty seats here at Lambeau during any home game lol and Mathews was a beast!
|
The Packers organization and coaching staff are just light years ahead of the Bears staff right now. Bears were totally out coached. Trestman could not even admit today that changes need to be made.
By the way Packer fans, good luck beating the Lions in the playoffs. |

Not enough people wanted to pay to see what everyone knew was going to be a Green Bay loss. |
I turned it off at the end of the second period. No need to watch a PROFESSIONAL sports team be humiliated like a high school team. In all honesty, I think Jay played better in high school (yes, I saw him play).

The funny thing here about the "rivalry" between these two teams is tat GB has had the upper hand for many many years. I always thought a rivalry would equate to two teams pretty evenly matched and a win could go either way. Here in the Chicago area, its a given thought that when the Bears play Green Bay, GB more than likely will win. I dont call that a rivalry. Football teams begin and end with ownership. In a former working life, The Bears were an account of mine and Ill just say that the family just doeskin seem right. And you dont want to be anywhere near Halas Hall the day after a loss. I would always schedule meetings mid to late in the week. Cant imagine what its been like for the last two weeks. The McCasky family needs to sell the Bears and morve on. They are only one of the most valuable names in football. From the web - "Virginia Halas McCaskey (born January 5, 1923) is the principal owner of the Chicago Bears." That speaks volumes. |
After last nights game it's hard to believe the Panthers actually beat the Bears.
Don't think I've ever seen two worse teams in one season. Seen bad W/L records but not such overall bad play from two teams before. Sad. |
I understand that game will be replayed on the Comedy Channel.

They are the only NFL team to go 25 full regulation NFL seasons (1968 - 1992) without scoring a single TD in the playoffs... |

Thanks for the laugh George! |

Yeah, lighten up Paul. At Least the Bears and Packers have actually won a few Superbowls, some teams never have.

I take solace in the fact that the Vikings have never had the looooooooooooooooooooong periods of suckiness like your team has. We might go 2 - 3 seasons with a losing record, but never for 10 or more consecutive years like your Packers...;) The Vikings, despite being the "youngest team" in the NFC North/Central, have won the division 18 times and made the playoffs 27 times. The Packers, Bears and especially the Lions aren't even close... |
Speaking of the Vikings, it will be interesting to see how the crowd reacts to both teams this weekend when they play the Bears here at home. Will the crowd boo Minnesota or The Bears?
|
If the Vikings score first - I think it will be a very ugly crowd for the Bears unless they immediately come back and score.
I was hoping for Jared Allen to have a great season with the Bears (except for 2 games). But between his pneumonia and the total dysfunction of the Bear defense that has not been the case. It was fun watching him play for the years he was in MN. |

If you aren't going to count the 1982 season, when they put up 67 points in two playoff games, then at least do the math right. There were 23 "full regulation" seasons during that period, not 25. |
Quote:
We're both wrong on the number of full regulation seasons between 1968 and 1992. There were 25 seasons (where I got my number), but 1 was not a full regulation season (1982), so there were only 24 full regulation seasons... You forgot that you have to include both the 1968 and the 1992 season. If you just subtract 68 from 92 and get 24 - you aren't counting the 1968 season. What I should have said was - The Packers are the only team to go 25 years without scoring a single TD in the playoffs of a full regulation season. |
Soooo, how many points do you think the Packers will "hang" on the Eagles this week?:argue:

Keep dreaming, the Birds are for real, not like the Bears!

THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ For all of the non-believers, the Eagles are only 3 yds and a bad call from being undefeated. Green Bay is playing lights out, esp. at home, but I don't see Mr. Rodgers staying "upright" all game either. ::eek: |
Oh, I didn't know you got to watch all the Eagles games in Kansas. You must be a real Eagles fan

First Eagles game I saw was against the Cardinal's (the St. Louis Cardinal's)at Franklin Field, in 1969, I was 13 |

Well Phil, it's like this, I have been out here for going on 23 years and it is home, I do miss my family members and grandkids. Never imagined that long ago that I would be the "less seen" grandparents. But with everything I have out here moving back now would be real tough. Not to mention, when I do go back to visit, it has REALLY gotten congested out there, usually about 3 days and I'm ready to come home. I enjoy the peace and solitude out here, excellent roads, decent people, very low crime, and all of the other things that go with small town living. Besides, I really do have it made, town of 500 people, I walk two blocks from my home to my office, and I can sit on the front porch on the weekend with my feet up on the railing and watch BOTH cars drive by! No car insp. No emissions, get a title for an old car with just a bill of sale, antique plates 25.00 per year, LOL But some things will never die, GO EAGLES!!!:D |
I concede, all GB today.:gag:
|
The pack are clicking well again this week!
|
Quote:
Yeah, so are the refs! Not making excuses as GB IS the better team today, but TWO uncalled helmet to helmets on the QB, GB int. line holding all day, but they do throw a grounding flag on Rodgers, of course they had to discuss it first. But they throw a below the knees flag on the Eagles QB, and he didn't even hit anyone. WTF! |
I agree, that first helmet shot should have drawn a flag. I don't know if the refs didn't see it or not? Sanchez looked rattled after that. The Pack looks fired up though. I don't know if the game would be a whole lot different if Sanchez was on his A game anyway.
BTW,I heard the Viqueens lost. |
Well i was having a bad day and then my Eagles get a big kickin..ahhh
Pack was on fire and played a fantastic game, offensive and defensive boys did there job with conviction. Move on to next week.... |
How about them packers sure looked good today, And harvicks win was a great day in sports for me.
|
Quote:
Hope they recover for next week. |
Quote:
Hey Phil, yes they did, but I guess they are in good company since nobody wins in GB. I do like it out here, probably the biggest issue (aside from seeing the relatives) is that it was a "lateral" move, IOW we have about the same weather. If I had to do it again, I would have moved a bit farther south, which global warming would hurry up and get here!:D |
